Silica/quartz sand

Silica/quartz sand is a hard, wear-resistant, and chemically stable silicate mineral. Its main mineral component is SiO2. The color of silica sand is milky white or colorless and translucent. 

It is processed by rough crushing, roasting, fine crushing, acid treatment, washing, drying, screening and other processes. 

Natural quartz sand is divided into two categories: coastal sand and mountain sand. Quartz sand mostly contains impurities or mixtures. When dealing with different mines, it should be treated differently. The grade is determined according to the content and particle size composition of TiO2, Fe2O3, Al2O3, and Cr2O3. 

Quartz and quartz sand can also be made into quartz sand powder after being crushed, which are the main raw materials for the glass industry.
